Gianni Sapone was born in Reggio Calabria and as a child devoted himself to cutting and sewing in the family's underwear boutique. Raised in an all-female family, he moved to Rome at the age of 19 to study fashion at the Accademia di Costume e di Moda (Academy of Costume and Fashion), while working at the prestigious Annamode68 tailor's shop, working alongside internationally renowned costume designers.
He collaborated with Oscar winner Danilo Donati, thus deepening his training in film and theatre costumes.
In 2000, on the occasion of the Jubilee, he opened AltaRoma with the provocative 'ANTICLERO' collection. He worked for several fashion houses and became a stylist for Fausto Sarli, but always nurtured the desire to start his own brand. This is how 'Gianni Sapone Haute Couture Roma' was born, which was very well received in the fashion world.
Thanks to collaborations with Fashion TV and the growing interest of Arab princesses, Gianni established himself on the Italian haute couture scene, attracting an Italian and international clientele.
His fashion is distinguished by the use of fine fabrics and a bold design that blends tradition and innovation. With a refined and recognisable aesthetic, Gianni Sapone has built a unique identity in the world of haute couture.
His career is an example of passion and dedication that continues to inspire new generations of designers. Today, the brand is a symbol of elegance and creativity on the fashion scene.
