Giovanni Cannistrà, born in Messina and raised in Catania, studied at the Italian Fashion Institute, the European Institute of Design and the Ida Ferri School for Patternmakers.
His creations are deeply influenced by Sicily: colours, scents and shapes evoke his homeland. Her style combines exuberant neo-Baroque with refined minimalism. Her works, appreciated by Arab princesses and lovers of elegance, celebrate a sophisticated and timeless femininity.
Her chiffon, feather, pleated and embroidered dresses transform women into divine and fascinating creatures with a profoundly Mediterranean soul and a scent reminiscent of orange blossom and almond.
His company, founded in 1990, made its official debut in 1998 in the calendar of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, parading in Rome in events such as 'Donna sotto le Stelle' on Rai Uno.
Since then, Cannistrà has collected successes and awards, appearing in programmes such as The night of the sirens(Rai Due), Night of the Muses (Rete 4) and Fashion Night (Rete 4).
He has modeled at prestigious international events in Milan, Berlin, Caracas, Shanghai and many other cities. He has also shared his experience as a fashion teacher at institutes in Catania, Giarre and Caltagirone.
